Pastoral Care

The Philosophy of "Pastoral Care ", we follow at our school, is "We Care", in which our students are our first partners and our parents are our second partners. Our pastoral care – parent involvement programme is underpinned by the on-going development of staff-student and student-student relationships, with the motto of "Working together", as of prime importance. We seek to provide a quality education to all our students in a caring and individualized learning environment that is enhanced through a friendly and constructive partnership with parents.

A strong link with parents is developed to ensure that at all times;

  1. Our parents are kept fully informed of all happenings of the school.
  2. Our parents get more opportunities to become actively involved in the life of the school.
  3. Our parents can contribute to working with the teacher and the school for the improvement of their children.
  4. Our parents can work together with the school to organize in-house and outreach programmes for the school.

Our PARENT COMMUNICATION is fully integrated through the EDUNEXT application – a Parent-School Communication Portal that is used to provide constant two-way communication. The personalized School Mobile App login for Student, Parent and Teacher Management gives real-time information and alerts. Every effort is made to keep parents informed by way of letters, texts-SMS and a monthly newsletter, phone calls. The school releases a monthly correspondent, as a newsletter to keep the parents informed of the happening.

An official parent/teacher meeting is held every term to give parents formal opportunity to discuss on the academic attainment and progress with the respective teachers and the team. Equally, the school staff are available to parents and visitors by prior appointments and requests.

Our Alumni Association places a high value on sustaining the bonds of old ties and ensuring that a real connection with the younger generation is maintained: the long-standing history and roots of the school cascade down to the trunk, the “host” of our Al Wahda COMMUNITY, spreading its roots like a Banyan tree. The tree stands proudly paying due respect to its culture and tradition.

Quran Verse of the Day

“In the creation of the heavens and the earth the alternation of the night and the day, in the ships that sail in the sea with their load…. in the rain which Allah sends down from the sky and thus revives the earth after its death; and then He spread in all kinds of animals; in the changing of the winds: in the clouds which have been left suspending between the heaven and the earth -in all these are clear signs for the people who understand”

Quran [2:164]
